The Best Defense Is a Good Offense

Bloomberg View reports the latest activities of Argentine President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner. She returned from vacation in Patagonia to give a state of the union speech to congress. Fernandez spoke for more than three and a half hours, almost as long as Fidel Castro in his prime.

Whatever the opposite of conciliatory might be, that was her theme. She attacked everybody not her toady and everything that hasn't gone her way.

Argentina is stuck with Fernandez until December. At that, they're luckier than we are; Obama is our millstone for 23 more months.
