During or shortly after the present regime took over Iran and held our embassy personnel as hostages until Reagan was elected, an individual of Iranian descent applied for a faculty job at my university department. I vociferously opposed the hiring, saying I considered Iranians to be enemy aliens.
I'm pretty sure I shocked at least some of my liberal colleagues with this stance. Whatever the case, the individual was not hired.

When people chant "Death to America," I take them at their word. Maybe you should too?
