David Strom takes note of the annual gathering of poobahs next week in Davos, Switzerland, the World Economic Forum. I particularly like his characterization of these meetings, as a gathering of “Bond villains.”
I picture Blofeld, Dr. No, General Medrano, Le Chiffre and Goldfinger colluding with the likes of Greta Thunberg and John Kerry. Making plans for our enslavement during the day and dallying with teen prostitutes of all genders in the evening. It’s not a pretty picture.
I’ve visited the city of Davos, not during the WEF. Nice hotels are about all it has to recommend it. I seem to remember that it, like Jackson, WY, has a ski lift the base of which is within 3-4 blocks of downtown.
