Here's what the snow looks like 500 miles north in western Wyoming, a mile or so from where we live. In the foreground is the "snow pole," it shows how deep is the snow.
I don't know if you can see it but several inches above the snow is a 2 that is larger than the other numbers, it indicates 2 feet. I'd estimate the pole shows about 20" of accumulation, recently it was merely at 6-7".
Overnight there has been some serious wintry weather. It's good as the aspens need the water to stay damp and green during the mostly dry summers.
Fun fact: All of the aspen trees in an aspen forest are parts of a single organism with a connected root system. A largish aspen forest in Utah is reputed to be the largest living thing on earth!
