Yahoo News carries an Associated Press article with this intriguing title.
Conservatives go to red states and liberals go to blue as the country grows more polarized.
Basically, it compares the lives of Democrats who fled Red states to move to Colorado with lives of Republicans who fled Blue states to move to Idaho. People native to both states agree that their states have become more hard-line as a result of this sort of internal immigration.
One party controls the entire legislature in all but two states. In 28 states, the party in control has a supermajority in at least one legislative chamber — which means the majority party has so many lawmakers that they can override a governor's veto. Not that that would be necessary in most cases, as only 10 states have governors of different parties than the one that controls the legislature.

I don't know a lot of people resident in Idaho which might seem odd considering the ID border is not far from my Wyoming home. However Idaho's eastern border region is mountainous and lightly populated. Those I do know are conservative.
I have relatives who moved to northwestern Colorado perhaps 70 years ago to ranch cattle. The recent CO swing to being a Democrat enclave pleases them not at all. My guess is they've happily voted for gun-toting Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO).
