National Review reports Dartmouth College will once again make the SAT exam a requirement for admission, beginning with those admitted in the fall of 2025. It will be the first of the Ivy League schools to again use the score for admission.
Dartmouth president Sian Beilock wrote that the decision to reimplement the standardized test was made in response to a faculty study which found that “standardized test scores are an important predictor of a student’s success in Dartmouth’s curriculum” regardless of a “student’s background or family income.”
An indicator we may be witnessing early stages of the demise of woke and the return of merit-based standards. It can't come too soon for my taste. Hat tip to Lucianne.com for the link.
