More on the Hur Report

Given the perspective of a night’s sleep, there is a conclusion implied in the Hur report on Biden’s mistreatment of classified material that I didn’t state clearly. I believe Robert Hur concluded as follows.

As a Senator, and later as a Vice President, Joe Biden willfully and knowingly mishandled some 300 pieces of classified material that could have been of value to an enemy power. He shared some of it with uncleared individuals including the ghostwriter of his supposed autobiography, stored it haphazardly in various unsecured places, and removed some from a Senate secured facility.

All of this he only revealed after the raid on Trump’s presidential papers at Mar a Lago was planned and Biden knew his papers might be next.

All of the above was done when Biden was in possession of whatever faculties a normal person has. It was intentional criminal behavior for which he could have been tried, convicted and jailed.

However, in Hur’s opinion, Biden is no longer in possession of those former faculties and, as a bumbling, forgetful elderly man he would be an unlikely candidate for a jury to convict.

Bottom line: Hur writes Biden is guilty of multiple federal felonies. However, in his current diminished state, he is not someone likely to be convicted by a sympathetic DC jury.

In no way does the Hur Report “exonerate” Joe Biden. Rather Hur begins to document the case for a Biden defenestration via the 25th Amendment.
