Ridiculous Price Gouging

Once again Steven Hayward of Power Line has the chart du jour, this time the Committee to Unleash Prosperity comparing the base increase in consumer prices with the increase in higher education tuition over this 46 year period:1977-2023. Your eyes don't deceive you, the chart is also tilted that much in Hayward's post.

For those who heard there would be no math, a translation. In those 46 years most things became a bit more than 4 times as expensive as before, while public college fees became 15 times higher, and private college fees were 13 times higher.

Talk about price gouging, that of higher ed is world-class! Most of this was spent on administrative bloat. Many colleges and universities have, but don't need, more admin and staff than students.
