Quote of the Day

Writing in the German publication Der Spiegel, Sebastian Hammelehle translates the comment of psychologist Ahmad Mansour, a Palestinian Arab working in Germany, who speaks of how to evaluate public policies.
Policies that people can't get behind are dangerous, no matter how morally correct they may be.
This is precisely (a) what our swamp-dwelling left cannot understand, and (b) why Donald Trump was elected and remains popular. He repudiates "policies that people can't get behind." It's what populists do.
