Axios reports that while publicly supporting Joe Biden, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer is privately telling big donors he’s open to replacing Biden. Schumer is obviously a very important Democrat with a big interest in retaining the powerful Majority Leader role. Hat tip to Power Line for the link.
Candidly, if Biden cannot be convinced to drop his pursuit of the 2024 nomination, the only way they can get rid of him is the 25th amendment with a lot of Dems voting to oust him. If it came to that, would GOP senators vote to oust? Maybe not, but it could largely destroy the current Dem Party apparatus either way.
