Lame duck President Joe Biden announces a program to revamp the Supreme Court. To accomplish his program would require two constitutional amendments. Given the supermajorities required to pass these amendments, he has precisely zero chance of passing his program, and he knows this.
His purpose therefore is entirely political, to give Harris & Co. an anti-SCOTUS talking point camouflaged as a policy proposal. His futile gesture should receive all the disrespect it deserves. This blog post represents my disrespect for Biden, his gesture, and those pulling his puppet strings.
