We have reached the final day of a four-day weekend that included Independence Day. Those who managed to finagle Friday off will be heading home from the lake or the shore or wherever they went to recreate.
Here in western WY that means a whole bunch will be driving south to Salt Lake City, our nearest metropolis. They’ll have visited our two spectacular but over-loved national parks or launched a boat in our under-used beautiful reservoir.
Nine days after the infamous debate, the future (if any) of the Biden presidency still hangs in the balance. Biden says he’s staying, many others are asking him to go. He’s even lost Maureen Dowd of the NYT.
I suppose we have to give Biden time to work through the 5 stages of grief. Imagine how bitter the disappointment a life-long politician feels about having his health fail him in the top job.
The five stages are denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. We’ve seen and heard his “denial and anger,” now I judge him to be in “bargaining,” trying to see a way to adjust his tactics to stay in office.
