As Crown Prince for most of Queen Elizabeth's brilliant 70 year reign, Charles was underwhelming. More often than not when he expressed an opinion publicly, he was on the wrong side of the issue.
Example: nearly everyone in the entire Commonwealth loved Lady Diana, except Charles apparently. Now at 73 he is perhaps too old to do more than twinkle at ladies who flirt with him.
Charles has tended to side on issues with the Davos and Gaia mafias, when common sense suggested they (and he) were extreme, wrong, or often both. Let us hope somewhere along the line he has grown up and figured out his mom should be his role model as he undertakes the kingship for whatever years remain to him.
I wish him and his realm good health and fortune. In these fraught times, they'll need both.
