Roughly a year from now we will elect the president who will occupy the Oval Office for the next four to eight years. As of right now, it appears the candidates will be Joe Biden and Donald Trump. Since neither is young, that could change - one or both may not be available, for whatever reason.
What is known by anyone who pays attention is what kind of president each will be, because we have a multi-year sample of each's presidential policy profile and personal style. Attempts by each to paint the other as a monster will run head-on into our experiences with each.
There are voters for whom ideological purity is more important than lived experience, but that isn't most of us. As of right now, most Americans have had a better experience in Trump's four years than in Biden's three plus years. That reality isn't arguable.
I can imagine Biden plaintively asking "Who you gonna believe, me or your lying eyes?" Much can happen in the next 11 months. As of right now if you had to bet serious money you'd likely hold your breath, cross your fingers, and bet on Trump.
