This blog just got a nice reference in the other DrC’s blog, which entry also includes a photo of one of our resident mule deer, with our aspen forest as backdrop. She’s standing in front of a park bench we’ve whimsically installed out back.
The flowers you see by the bench are artificial. They are the only kind she won’t eat, we’ve tried the live ones and they disappeared quickly.
We put out new fake flowers each spring and toss them before leaving in autumn. The low maintenance is a plus.
We’re off to Salt Lake City on Thursday to see the doc treating my top-of-head wound that’s going on 15 months without healing. For reasons too complicated to explain here, it doesn’t hurt but is a hassle I’d like to be without.
