Today we remember Pearl Harbor, and the many Americans who died that day, felled by a sucker punch thrown by the Empire of Japan. I've gotten over being mad at Japan, nearly eight decades later. Post-war Japan has been an good ally, trading partner and world citizen.
The important thing to remember is the lesson learned that day. Constant vigilance, especially with regard to regimes we don't believe are good citizens, and decent neighbors. Thinking about you: Russia, China, North Korea, Iran, and maybe Turkey too.
