Who knew that buying a boat caused people to transmogrify into Trump-loving Republicans? This holiday weekend the evidence seems to be clear. In waterways across the country boat parades of hundreds (or thousands?) waving Trump flags and signs have happened.
Are boat parades even a thing? It appears they are. The one boat owner I know personally, a nephew, is a for-sure Trump supporter.
I’d guess there also weren’t a lot of Biden supporters at the Sturgis motorcycle rally a month ago. Bikers, boaters, hunters, fisherfolk, all of these are subcultures that are likely to vote R.
The millions of new gun owners? The same concerns that moved them to buy a gun are likely to cause them to lean R as well.
