While not young, I aspire to live long enough to see Democrats look back on the Trump presidency with nostalgia. To see them favorably comparing his moderation to the stridency of the then-current Republican incumbent.
Do you think this unlikely? In my experience, Republican presidents always look better in Democrat’s rear view mirrors. I’m imagining a Tom Cotton or Josh Hawley presidency being harder-edged than today’s incumbent.
People who had a bad case of Bush Derangement Syndrome now think how normal he was, compared to Trump. Over the years that awful Reagan actor fellow has morphed into a virtual saint. Mark my words, Trump will look better in hindsight, he will seem almost establishment.
